The Charlatans` drummer stopped breathing during a show
Jon Brookes had to be revived by a doctor who was luckily in the crowd, after collapsing mid-set as the band played in Philadelphia.
He has since been transferred a hospital where he was given a CT scan to diagnose the cause of the problem, and doctors say he is responding well to treatment and expect him to recover.
No further details about what caused the `One To Another` rocker to collapse are available at present, but he is not known to suffer from any long term health problems.
A statement from the band read: "He has now been transferred to a larger hospital in the city for further tests, although his condition is said to be improving and doctors believe there will be no long term effects on his health."
It is not known if this will affect the band`s currently scheduled US tour, though the group have warned fans to check their official website to check for changes to tour dates.
The band was scheduled to play in Montreal on 16.09.10, but it is not clear if this will go ahead without Jon or not.
The Charlatans released their 11th album, `Who We Touch` earlier this week. For more information on tour dates, check www.thecharlatans.net
